Waah, this bloggin thing quite difficult hor? So long never blog!! Think I will do this - try to blog at least once a month - how about that??!! For all you out there reading this blog and posting all your previous comments - thanks for your time and friendship. Question - if the guys are called 'bloggers', then are the girls called 'bloggettes'???? HAHAHA! Got this to share today....

Have you ever sat and witnessed dawn breaking? First, it is dark, like we sometimes feel when things get us down.... Then slowly there is a glimmer of light in the horizon. Things are not so bleak after all! Then it is as if the-powers-that-be are artists, dipping into their palette of paints and painting streaks of colours across the sky, first lavender, then pink, then yellow, orange and before you know it - there is a burst of colours and the sun has come to greet us! And you know, every day, every moment is different - just look at the cloud formations - so, live each day and moment to the fullest possible! I say fullest possible cos most of the time we get caught up in the daily hum-drum of things (studies, work, bimbo colleagues ...) and sometimes we forget to smile, we forget to thank our friends and family for loving us and accepting us as we are, and sometimes we forget to be thankful that we are simply alive.....

THANK YOU for being my friend and being part of my life.....

HOLES IN THE FENCE

This was told to me by my girl when I lost my temper at her during her revision. SIGH! I felt so crummy after that and apologised and this was what she told me : Imagine that there is a wooden fence. And each time you get angry with someone, lose your temper or raise your voice, you put a nail in the fence. And each time that you do something nice to that same person, you remove a nail. Now the fence can be devoid of any nails, but the holes left by the nails will always be there. So this is the morale - it is so easy to get angry, flare up, and it is equally easy to say 'sorry' but have you ever thought about the holes in the fence that you have left behind?? For your loved ones, your family, your siblings, your friends ?? Think about it....

NOW you can all go and celebrate - cos exams are over!! The headaches for us (teachers) have just begun!!

Ok, this is likely to be my last blog for this week cos back at work tomorrow and as usual, things are a mad rush at work, and with all that marking, grading, keying in marks, think not enough battery to blog.

So, I hope to leave this with all of you - go on, go ahead and celebrate and enjoy yourselves, but think of the following words :

Hello hello. The finishing line just got nearer- come on, you all can do it! And imagine after that - you all can relax whilst your lecturers suffer! (you all think marking 272 scripts very easy ar??)

Remember in life you must focus- ohmigosh! I sound like your fav teacher - Mr Keow! So full of focus that one - sometimes wish I was more like that ... So learn from him - focus on your last few modules, and then it will be ALL OVER!

S$6/hr + commission,

could be giving out flyers, helping to serve customers ... etc,

timing could be a bit flexible but hope you would understand the requirement in retail line that it is difficult to request Sat/Sun/Public holiday off ...;

To all of those mugging your eyes out there - strive on, strive on. It is the last 100 metres of the race (for this semester at least), so don't give up. If it is any consolation, whilst you all are mugging your eyes out, I am marking my eyes out too! Who says teacher's life is easy??? But hey, I enjoy it....

darling JL - Excellece is not about BEING the best, it is about GIVING your best! As long as you have tried, be at peace with yourself. Remember William Hung's famous words? "I have tried my best, I have no regrets!"

So not D Blogging type

Eh, aunty not very good hor? Last time blogged was last week! Well, but I blog on my Discussion Board on MEL - only thing is not sure how many read that!

Today has been a 'happening' day - IHP presentation interviews supposed to start from 9am but started much later cos 1st two groups were LATE! sigh - when will you kids ever learn?? Then at 11am had to RUUUN to collect my APM scripts and then back for more IHP presentations. But enjoyed the presentations - really! Then barely had time to gobble down lunch had to go for invigilation duties. Immediately upon finishing invigilation, had to RUUUSH for my IAP presentations. The day was finally over at 7pm. Whew!

Now for the marking of all those scripts - wish me luck! And oh, to my darling IHP group - well done, am sooo proud of you - now you know why I push you so hard. And Azre, yes, you can now go and catch up on your beauty sleep!

And to my darling god- daughter JL, hope all is well and you are mugging your eyes out! Eh, you watch Spore Idol or not? Funniee hor?? Now go study - All the best for your exams! And to new godson WG - WELCOME WELCOME to the auntyjugotlotsofchocsandfood family! I feed my family well - ask Azre, JL, and others... And don't worry WG, our first project WILL be a success - we will work on it together with the rest of the team. We can meet for tea (see food!) with a few others after your exams! For now, just concentrate on your studies, like what I tell JL - go mug!!

And to my darling Amelia - woohoo - OLI is in!! Taufik is in!! yaaay!

Thank you thank you all for visiting my blog - now that I can figure out roughly (still dunno how to change layout and run spell check le) how to use this thing - hey - there is no stopping me man!!

Hip Hip Hooray!! End of term looms near - and you kids thought that YOU are the ones that are happy - well, you are dead wrong - the TEACHERS are HAPPIER!! (we got all our booze lined up waiting to pop them on Fri at 6 pm - just KIDDING OK!)

I had a fabulous night on Tues - and no, no it is not what you think - tsk, tsk, naughty, naughty! I attended the American Idol concert and boy, they rocked the house, I mean stadium down!! My favourite performer was La Toya London - she was wearing a halter top and capri pants and she looked so good, and that voice -wow, her lung capacity must be tremendous! And speaking of lungs - you should have heard Fantasia Barrino and Diana Degarmo - esp Fantasia, I had to cover my ears at some parts. Fantasia used her voice to her advantage - nasal twang and all and PULLED so much for some songs it sounded so screechy! But yes, she was good, very good! My girl liked Diana - she looked great (pink corset top and trendy jeans), sang well, had good showmanship, and was really friendly. But the one that takes the cake is Jasmine, yes, Jasmine Trias-with-the-flower-in-the hair! She had this short, flirty skirt and shook her booty so much that the skirt threatened to drop off!! And ya, got flower also, which stayed on her hair throughout all that shaking - she must have used super glue - hahaha! But seriously, she was very good and had improved a lot since we last saw her on TV, she even played the keyboard for the opening keys to a song. There was also George Huff, the friendly 'bear' and yes, he bopped up and down like what you see on TV, Jon Peter Lewis, who mingled with the crowd when he sang and even played the guitar, and Jennifer Hudson. Somehow Jennifer did not leave an impression on me other than her singing.

The best part - they kept saying 'I Love You Singapore' and after SEVEN times, it gets a little cliched. But hey, it IS a concert after all. And oh yes, Jasmine and Diana even managed a 'Terima Kasih' to the crowd. So my vote - a FANTASTIC concert and can't wait for my next one...Speaking of concerts, did you all know that aunty here has attended concerts by Madonna (in Wembley, London), Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Pet Shop Boys (my fav group), Bryan Adams, Michael Bolton, Hall and Oates, Toto (no,no not the four D thing), and Richard Marx!! Not bad for an aunty hor?? And many many musicals - Phantom of The Opera, Ms Saigon (my two favs), Cats, etc...

So when I tried to tell my APM students yesterday at the last lecture that life IS really more than just studying or in my case more than just marking assignments - they probably thought - here she goes again, sprouting nonsense, all we wanna know is what chapter is coming out for exam .....sigh! well, at least I tried right?By the way - my girl has a blog too - she wants to discuss pets, animals, science and other stuff - any one wants to help her besides JL?

And oh ya - how do I link this to all your blogs???

Ok - now need to go and do mundane things - like mark assignments, tear the hair out whilst marking, scold IHP team (STRONG COLD STARE) etc...
